Ordering Products from 21st Century
Ordering products from 21st Century Distributing is easy!
To order online, simply fill out the Sales Tax Form, found under Forms/Contact and email to Sales@21stCenturyDist.com or fax to (919) 779-8994. Once your application has been processed, you will be sent a password which you can use to access product information, inventory status, and pricing.
You can also order by phone, just call us at (800)849-0647 M-F 8:00am - 5:30pm, and we'll be glad to assist you.
21st Century's Shipping Policy
Currently, shipping is free on orders over $350 within our territory (VA,NC,TN,GA,SC,AL and FL) for UPS and Fed-Ex to one location. However specific products are excluded from free shipping, or have a surcharge due to size or weight.
Some surcharged (but not all) items are:
Assembled A/V Racks: $75
Projection Screens 8ft. or longer: $85

For those of you who may be receiving shipments from 21st Century via Motor Freight Carrier, as opposed to UPS or Fed Ex, and especially those who may be receiving televisions, please make note of the following:
OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU: When receiving freight from our vendors, 21st Century takes extreme care to inspect the condition of every carton we receive, especially Sony & Samsung televisions. If there is any suspicion that the freight may have been mishandled in any way, we refuse the product.
BEYOND THE OBVIOUS, WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT??
When Motor Freight shipments leave the shipper, the merchandise becomes the property of the Motor Carrier. This is called Freight On Board. (F.O.B.) When we sign for it at one of our warehouses, we are acknowledging to the Motor Carrier that they have delivered the product with NO DAMAGE WHAT-SO-EVER. From that point, we own the product as is. If it turns out that there is some kind of “concealed freight damage”, we are at the mercy of the vendor and have little and probably no claim with the Motor Carrier.
When 21st Century prepares a Motor Freight shipment to go to you, we take every precaution to insure that the product or products are properly wrapped, strapped, and secured to the pallet.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOUR BUSINESS: If you have any doubts what-so-ever as to the condition of the product or products you receive, do not sign for it unless the driver allows you to inspect it for damage and if they will not allow you to do so, refuse the shipment. We realize that this may be a HUGE inconvenience to you and your customer but not nearly as inconvenient as taking ownership of a damaged product only to find yourself at the mercy of the manufacturer.
To Business Owners and Managers: train your people to look for the following (and especially on TV’s):
Any holes, punctures, dents, creases, buckles, crushed corners, or even seemingly minor scrape marks on a box that may indicate that the freight may have been mishandled or might have come in contact with other boxes or foreign objects.
Any freight that has come loose from its strapping and is no longer upright on the pallet.
We use black plastic stretch wrapping and black strapping tape. If your freight arrives not wrapped or strapped in this fashion, reach out to us immediately and before signing for the shipment.
We have a collection of photographs on file showing examples of freight that we have refused that we’ll be happy to share with you. Some of the refusals are based on conditions that will appear quite minor to the casual observer. They will serve as an example of the standard we hold when we accept freight…ESPECIALLY TELEVISIONS.
A SPECIAL NOTE ON SHIPMENTS OF TELEVISIONS:
Concealed Damage: Please do not accept delivery of a television until you are certain there is no concealed damage - Once you sign for the shipment a concealed damage claim can not be made.
If you’ve ordered ahead of time so as to insure stock, we highly recommend removing the product from its carton and powering it up so as to insure that all is operating properly. It would be our recommendation to do this with all product being staged for a later delivery/installation but it is imperative that you do this with Sony.
